Ruwan Gunatilake, an accomplished and experienced pastry chef, has honed his skills all over the world.  Ruwan has studied at some of the world’s finest culinary schools, such as The Culinary Institute of America.  He has won a Gold, Silver, and Bronze medal for his artistry, creativity, and impeccable skills as a Pastry Chef, in an International, Five-Star Pastry Competition, presided over by a Swiss, celebrity chef.   He has worked in Bavaria, in the Black Forest, at an exclusive resort, as well as at a world-class, five-star hotel in his native paradise of Sri Lanka.  He has made the finest pastries for events such as motion picture premiers, gala receptions for British royalty, presidential fundraisers, and intimate celebrity dinners.

  His specialties include French Pastries, Austrian Pastries, Swedish Pastries, a full assortment of gourmet cakes and tortes, as well as elegant Wedding Cakes.  Ruwan says that it is important for pastries and cakes to look absolutely beautiful, but they must also taste out of this world.  This is what separates Ruwan’s work from the rest.  Ruwan’s creations actually taste as good as they look, and that is saying a lot!  He achieves the perfect balance of flavors, with the perfect texture.  He makes everything with lots of love.  He says you should never be angry when preparing food for people to enjoy.
